No Stimulus!

No Stimulus!

We are powerless, right? Left-wing extremist Democrats control the White House, the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate. Now that they have the opportunity, they will steamroll every wished-for liberal dream over the last 50 years. I know it is a small gesture, but I did my small part to counter this radical tsunami by signing the web petition above. Now do your part!

Here are my remarks (perhaps a bit over-dramatic or hyperbolic?):
This is not about jobs or stimulus. It is a power grab. It is a tax increase. It is stealth burden on the American worker. It will devalue the currency. And this is just the beginning. Most importantly, this bloated debt spending frenzy is, in truth, a patronage machine designed to keep Leftist/Liberal/Communist/Socialist/Democrats in power for decades, or permanently, as they seek to transform American culture and life into their egalitarian utopian "workers paradise." Bankrupt the American economy? All the better, because the ensuing hoped-for catastrophic crisis will make it all too easy for those currently in power to usurp the already weakened Constitution, and make the desperate nation swallow the revolutionary pill.

Here are some FACTUAL talking points, from the website; not mind-numbed disinformational ones that liberal talking heads are so good at getting repeated endlessly in the mainstream media:

The so-called “Stimulus Package” is being sold to taxpayers as an investment in useful infrastructure like roads and bridges. But the facts prove otherwise.

Only 3.6% of the scheme’s $825 billion price tag would actually go to real, practical infrastructure projects--roads and bridges.

Most of the other 96.4% would go to special interest pet projects, and to cramming years’ worth of radical policy changes into the single largest spending and debt scheme in history.

Why are our nation’s leaders doing this? Obama White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel was strikingly honest when he said "Never let a serious crisis go to waste...it's an opportunity to do things you couldn't do before." Exactly what fringe policies are big-government politicians attempting to ram through with this colossal bill?

Under the auspices of a “Federal Health Board,” the package heavily funds the first steps towards the socialization and government-mandated rationing of health care. [See WSJ's "Democratic 'Stealth' Care"] And this is just one of many government power grabs being shoehorned into the so-called “Stimulus Package.”

In fact, even by the most charitable estimates, the bill would force taxpayers to foot the bill for at least 600,000 new government bureaucrats. That’s six tenths of a million more people on the government payroll -- adding little or no value to our economy and being paid with billions upon billions of your hard-earned tax dollars.

And just what sort of special interest giveaways and wasteful government spending are included in the so-called “Stimulus Package”? To name just a few...

- $4.19 billion in slush funds for ACORN, the left-wing advocacy group best known for allegations of voter fraud during the 2008 presidential campaign

- $600 million to buy brand new cars for government bureaucrats

- $335 million for adult sex workshops (one of the few line items which could conceivably deliver "stimulus" )

- $150 million for honeybee insurance

- $2.8 billion for the US Department of Agriculture in a misdirected program more likely be spent to build unnecessary broadband internet services in urban areas than in the rural areas that lack service.

This is too funny! Algore, The Oracle

Dana Milbank - With Al Due Respect, We're Doomed: "The lawmakers gazed in awe at the figure before them. The Goracle had seen the future, and he had come to tell them about it.

What the Goracle saw in the future was not good: temperature changes that 'would bring a screeching halt to human civilization and threaten the fabric of life everywhere on the Earth -- and this is within this century, if we don't change.'"

The Real Che Guevara -- a KGB fiction

The next time you see someone with a Che Guevera t-shirt on, ask them if they really know who this hateful thug was. Read this article, arm yourself with the facts, and help them to understand that "Che" was a KGB fiction, a pure tool for propaganda to foment the Marxist revolutions in the Western Hemisphere.

Don't see "Che"!: "Soderbergh’s Che is a fiction once created by the KGB community, including my Romanian espionage service, the DIE, and at that time that placed me squarely in the picture. The real Che was an assassin who presided over communist firing squads and founded Cuba’s ghastly gulag system. He was also a coward who called upon others to fight to the death for the communist cause and sent to the scaffold hundreds who did not do that, yet he surrendered himself to the Bolivian army without a fight even though he was armed to the teeth. “Don’t kill me,” Che begged his captors. “I am worth more to you alive than dead.”[3] Soderbergh’s movie omitted this part—it would have demolished his Che."

History will show that George W Bush was right - Telegraph

History will show that George W Bush was right - Telegraph: "The American lady who called to see if I would appear on her radio programme was specific. 'We're setting up a debate,' she said sweetly, 'and we want to know from your perspective as a historian whether George W Bush was the worst president of the 20th century, or might he be the worst president in American history?'"

The reporter couldn't even squeeze in "mediocre?"

The Obama presidency: Here comes socialism, by Dick Morris

TheHill.com: "2009-2010 will rank with 1913-14, 1933-36, 1964-65 and 1981-82 as years that will permanently change our government, politics and lives. Just as the stars were aligned for Wilson, Roosevelt, Johnson and Reagan, they are aligned for Obama. Simply put, we enter his administration as free-enterprise, market-dominated, laissez-faire America. We will shortly become like Germany, France, the United Kingdom, or Sweden — a socialist democracy in which the government dominates the economy, determines private-sector priorities and offers a vastly expanded range of services to many more people at much higher taxes.

Obama will accomplish his agenda of “reform” under the rubric of “recovery.” Using the electoral mandate bestowed on a Democratic Congress by restless voters and the economic power given his administration by terrified Americans, he will change our country fundamentally in the name of lifting the depression. His stimulus packages won’t do much to shorten the downturn — although they will make it less painful — but they will do a great deal to change our nation."

Obama Sworn In Again, sans Holy Bible

Obama Sworn In Again, With Right Words: "After flubbing his one role on Inauguration Day -- administering the oath of office to Obama -- Roberts traveled to the White House to re-administer the oath.

Just to make sure.

'We decided it was so much fun . . .,' Obama joked while sitting on a couch in the Map Room. Obama stood and walked over to make small talk with pool reporters as Roberts donned his black robe.

'Are you ready to take the oath?' Roberts asked.

'I am, and we're going to do it very slowly,' Obama replied.

After a flawless recitation that included no Bible and took 25 seconds, Roberts smiled and said, 'Congratulations, again.'

Obama said, 'Thank you, sir,' and then added: 'All right. The bad news for the [reporters] is there's 12 more balls.'

A president is required by the Constitution to say, 'I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of president of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.'

At the inauguration, Roberts instead said: 'that I will execute the office of president to the United States faithfully.'

In a statement, White House counsel Greg Craig said the oath was re-administered 'out of an abundance of caution.'

I, Barack Hussein Obama, ...

Upon further examination, Justice Roberts made the bigger mistake. I was thinking they should have a do-over, and that is exactly what they did, the very next day. So, does that mean George W. Bush was still President yesterday?

Professor denies global warming theory - The Daily Princetonian: "“This is George Orwell. This is the ‘Germans are the master race. The Jews are the scum of the earth.’ It’s that kind of propaganda,” Happer, the Cyrus Fogg Brackett Professor of Physics, said in an interview. “Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant. Every time you exhale, you exhale air that has 4 percent carbon dioxide. To say that that’s a pollutant just boggles my mind. What used to be science has turned into a cult.”"

iowahawk: Mark Your Time, Hu-Mans!: "Special Guest Commentary
by Waxulon-6, Lord High Admiral of the Kremulakian Earth Invaders
The Being Formerly Known as Congressman Henry Waxman (D-CA)"

American Thinker: Bush and the Bush-Haters

Another summary of the treatment Bush received over the past eight years. I don't even think Ronald Reagan suffered as great a coordinated (Soros?) onslaught of propagandized slings and oft-repeated arrows of outright lies as the outgoing President. It will be an even more shocking spectacle to see this propaganda, in reverse; as the so-called free press and media fawn over the hardly examined, soon-to-be Messiah-in-Chief. I don't think the press will be bringing up the Messiah's grade point average at Columbia, or his military service record.

American Thinker: Bush and the Bush-Haters: "It can be stated without fear of serious argument that no previous president has been treated as brutally, viciously, and unfairly as George W. Bush.

Bush 43 endured a deliberate and planned assault on everything he stood for, everything he was involved in, everything he tried to accomplish...

His detractors were willing to risk the country's safety, its economic health, and the very balance of the democratic system of government in order to get at him. They were out to bring him down at all costs, or at the very least destroy his personal and presidential reputation. At this they have been half successful, at a high price for the country and its government."

The 9/11 Presidency

The 9/11 Presidency - WSJ.com :
"Whatever history's ultimate judgment, Mr. Bush never did yield. Nearly all the significant battles of the Bush years -- the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, Guantanamo and wiretapping, upheavals in the Middle East, America's troubles with Europe -- stemmed directly from his response to the attacks on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon that defined his Presidency.

By his own standard, Mr. Bush achieved the one big thing he and all Americans demanded of his Administration. Not a single man, woman or child has been killed by terrorists on U.S. soil since the morning of September 11. Al Qaeda was flushed from safe havens in Afghanistan, then Iraq, and its terrorist network put under siege around the world. All subsequent terror attacks hit soft targets and used primitive means. No one seriously predicted such an outcome at the time ...

After the Clinton decade in which al Qaeda and proliferation went unchallenged, the Bush Presidency had to scramble to defend against a terror threat that with WMD could kill millions of Americans. His decision to fight this as a "war," and to marshal the means attendant to war, has been controversial and expensive. But like Harry Truman's decisions at the onset of the Cold War, we suspect more of his policy will survive than his many critics now admit ...

The world remains a very dangerous place. Yet thanks to Mr. Bush's post-9/11 willingness to act decisively, and at the risk of his own popularity, Americans are safer today than on September 10, 2001."

'Islamic Supremacy" - A better term to define the ideological enemy?

How Geert Wilders seeks to correctly identify what, exactly, the Western World and Western values, are fighting against.

WSJ Interview

And a summary from Jim Taranto's "Best of the Web" column ...
'Islamic Supremacy' - WSJ.com: "The answer: Islamic supremacy. The analogous term, white supremacy, is in no way offensive to whites, Indeed, condemnations of white supremacy generally succeed at shaming whites into shunning groups like the Ku Klux Klan, just as the West hopes to shame Muslims into shunning Islamic supremacist groups.

We would define Islamic supremacy as follows: a doctrine that seeks to subjugate or exterminate non-Muslims, or convert them to Islam by force. This is slightly different from white supremacy, in that there is no such thing as a racial conversion--but we think the analogy is close enough to be useful.

One might argue that supremacy is inherent in Islam, inasmuch as it claims to be the one true religion and (unlike some other faiths, such as Judaism) seeks converts. But the same is true of Christianity, which has largely made peace with secular modernity and religious pluralism. Reconciling Islam with religious pluralism is a task for Muslims. Combating Islamic supremacist movements is one for non-Muslims and nonsupremacist Muslims alike."

The Bush Economy - WSJ.com

The Bush Economy - WSJ.com: "By pushing all of this excess credit into the economy, the Fed created a housing and mortgage mania that Wall Street was only too happy to be part of. Yes, many on the Street abandoned their normal risk standards. But they were goaded by an enormous subsidy for debt. Wall Street did get 'drunk' but Washington had set up the open bar.

For that matter, most everyone else was also drinking the free booze: from homebuyers who put nothing down for a loan, to a White House that bragged about record home ownership, to the Democrats who promoted and protected Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. (Those two companies helped turbocharge the mania by using a taxpayer subsidy to attract trillions of dollars of foreign capital into U.S. housing.) No one wanted the party to end, though sooner or later it had to."

A President Worthy of the Office

An excellent defense of the outgoing President ...

American Thinker: G. W. Bush, a President Worthy of the Office: "With all due respect, I would rather you had saved the Country than the Republican Party, and that's just what you've done.

I believe that's called proper prioritizing.

It's what presidents are supposed to do. Always. Every single time.

Yes, the Republican-Party brand appears tarnished beyond repair, our candidates far and wide are suffering defeat, and hardly a voice in defense of you can be heard anywhere. But, surely G. W., you realize that these difficult realities say far more about the non-cognizant state of our citizenry than they say about you."

I share many of her sentiments. It is worth reading the whole article.

Global Warming

Cold temps prove global warming, i know it doesn't seem to make sense but its true?

First we (the government) needs to to control the climate.....then we control minds, or is it the other way around. The incoming administration is still beating the global warming drum despite the actual weather.

Horowitz gives a "10" to Coulter's new book

Coulter's New Book: Weapon of Mass Destruction

Ann Coulter's new book is one that everyone concerned with the left's assault on reason should get ahold of and read. Coulter is often compared to Senate-seat-thief Al Franken, but there is really no comparison and not only because Coulter is funny and also witty. If you read a Franken book, what you learn is that conservatives are liars -- in other words what you learn is a lie. Reading Coulter's new offering Guilty: Liberal Victims And Their Assault on America you will get a serious look into the strategy of the left which has been consistent since Rousseau and Marx and is summed by Coulter in this pithy phrase: "Speak loudly and carry a small victim."

Coulter's book could just as easily be called "Hypocrisy" since she shows relentlessly and unmercifully how embarrassing it is intellectually and morally to be a liberal these days. Every page is filled with the pleasures of seeing the self-righteous skewered and the guilty held to account for their unreported crimes. To those on the left like the NY Times Frank Rich who complained about "McCarthyesque guilt-by-association" when Obama's friendship and political collaboration with Billy Ayers was brought up, she replies: "No one accused Obama of guilt by association, but rather guilt of association with a bomb-planting, America-hating, flag denigrating imbecile. She then lists the personal heroes to whom Ayers dedicated his 2001 book, whose publication coincided with the 9/11 attacks. These included 7 convicted cop killers, 1 attempted cop killer, 3 accomplices and a bomb-maker for the Puerto Rican terrorists. Thus amidst the laughter this book will also generate tears for our country and our future. Which is why this book is so important. Buy it now, and arm yourself for the battle.

Debunking the Media Myths of the Housing Bubble

Karl Rove: President Bush Tried to Rein In Fan and Fred - WSJ.com: "Mythmaking is in full swing as the Bush administration prepares to leave town. Among the more prominent is the assertion that the housing meltdown resulted from unbridled capitalism under a president opposed to all regulation. Like most myths, this is entertaining but fictional. In reality, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were among the principal culprits of the housing crisis, and Mr. Bush wanted to rein them in before things got out of hand. Rather than a failure of capitalism, the housing meltdown shows what's likely to happen when government grants special privileges to favored private entities that facilitate bad actors and lousy practices."

A nice summary and defense of president Bush. For a more detailed outline of the housing mess, read "Why the Mortgage Crisis Happened" in The American Thinker.

Support the Cause, Save NJ!!!

Dear Friend,

This morning I am filing papers to begin the process to become a candidate for the Republican nomination for Governor of New Jersey.

I did not take this step lightly. It was only after careful consideration and consultation with my family that I decided to become a candidate.

New Jersey is broken. New Jersey’s taxes have become so unaffordable that more families are leaving our state than moving here. Our state's business tax climate is ranked 50th in the nation and has become so unattractive to employers that only government jobs are growing in New Jersey. Yet nothing in Trenton gets done to fix these problems.

We can change this. We can solve these problems if we're willing to make the tough decisions.

In my seven years as your United States Attorney, I didn't shy away from any of the tough decisions. I took on corporate greed, political corruption, terrorism and environmental polluters. Public officials from both parties were prosecuted for corruption – more than 130 were convicted, and not one was acquitted. Corporate executives who cheated their companies and hurt their workers were successfully prosecuted. Terrorist plots were disrupted; polluters punished.

Many didn’t believe we could win these battles. We did, and with strong leadership we will win the fight for Governor and change this state for the better.

My formal announcement for Governor will come in the first week in February and I hope you will join us (I will email you the details). With strong leadership now, we can fix our broken state and make it more affordable for all New Jersey families.

Sincerely,

Chris Christie
