Imagine if he was a Republican, or Dan Quayle

You don't see the media ganging up on the "anointed" one. Not a peep about his persona without a teleprompter or notes ...

Giant new cities offer promise and challenge - International Herald Tribune

Giant new cities offer promise and challenge - International Herald Tribune: "'In America, I could never do work like I do here,' Steven Holl, a New York architect with several large projects in China, recently told me, referring to his latest complex in Beijing. 'We've become too backward-looking. In China, they want to make everything look new. This is their moment in time. They want to make the 21st century their century.'"

Lydia the Tattooed Lady !!!

My life was wrapped around the circus.
Her name was Lydia.
I met her at the world’s fair in 1900,
marked down from 1940.
Ah, Lydia.
She was the most glorious creature
Under the su-un.
Guiess. DuBarry. Garbo.
Rolled into one.
Oooooooh
Lydia oh Lydia, say have you met Lydia,
Lydia, the Tattooed Lady.
She has eyes that folks adore so,
And a torso even more so.
Lydia oh Lydia, that encyclopidia,
Oh Lydia the Queen of Tattoo.
On her back is the Battle of Waterloo.
Beside it the wreck of the Hesperus, too.
And proudly above waves the Red, White, and Blue,
You can learn a lot from Lydia.
La la la, la la la, la la la, la la la
When her robe is unfurled, she will show you the world,
If you step up and tell her where.
For a dime you can see Kankakee or Paris,
Or Washington crossing the Delaware.
La la la, la la la, la la la, la la la
Oh Lydia oh Lydia, say have you met Lydia,
Oh Lydia the Tattooed Lady
When her muscles start relaxin’,
Up the hill comes Andrew Jackson
Lydia oh Lydia, that encyclopidia,
oh Lydia the queen of them all!
For two bits she will do a mazurka in jazz,
With a view of Niagara that nobody has.
And on a clear day you can see Alcatraz.
You can learn a lot from Lydia.
La la la, la la la, la la la, la la la
Come along and see Buff’lo Bill with his lasso.
Just a little classic by Mendel Picasso.
Here is Captain Spaulding exploring the Amazon.
Here’s Godiva but with her pajamas on.
La la la, la la la, la la la, la la la
Here is Grover Whalen unveilin’ the Trilon.
Over on the West Coast we have Treaure Island.
Here’s Najinsky a-doin’ the rhumba.
Here’s her social security numba.
{whistles}La la la, la la la, la la la, la la la
Oh Lydia, oh Lydia that encyclopidia,
Oh Lydia the champ of them all.
She once swept an Admiral clear off his feet.
The ships on her hips made his heart skip a beat.
And now the old boy’s in command of the fleet,
For he went and married Lydia.
I said Lydia
{He said Lydia}
They said Lydia
{We said Lydia}
La La!

Democrats’ Platform for Revolution

FrontPage Magazine: "Most Americans are unaware, however, that when Obama and Clinton speak of “change,” they mean change in the sense that a profoundly significant, though not widely known, individual -- Saul Alinsky -- outlined in his writings two generations ago."

Love that new DNC McCain Attack Ad

Yeah, its devastating .... to the DNC. I actually hate to give you advice, but I think you should consider withdrawing the ad, for a host of reasons. I know you've got a lot of cash on hand, but I would also recommend, unless of course it's for the purpose of distributing patronage cash/favors, to saving the attacks for after the conventions. You will get no pay dirt on McCain attacks right now. Tell America what your candidates' (technically undetermined) vision and plan is, not what the other guy's is. Unless that is precisely what you are trying to avoid.

Friend,

Yesterday, Governor Dean sent around our second national television ad.

It's one of the most powerful television spots Americans will see this year. It's simple, and it's brutally honest. It rocked the McCain campaign, because they know they'll spend the every day through November dealing with the fallout.

This is the ad the Republican National Committee is working around the clock to stop, even threatening legal action against television stations that air this spot. That's how worried about it they are.

If you haven't seen it yet, watch it now, and send it to everyone you know:

We can't afford to let-up.

Watch the ad, and make a contribution to help us stay on the air by tomorrow, April 30.
